Recently, Google rolled out a significant update that began in July or August 2009. Many people who used different affiliate marketing platforms were penalized by Google since it can no longer afford to embrace those practices. As a result, people started losing confidence in those flashy websites that appeared fraudulent or made outrageous claims. Consequently, the company decided to crack down on anyone who made false promises or claims.
However, building your personal brand within Google is the only way to succeed. The trick to success is not adhering to a top-secret marketing strategy; instead, people need to be positioned correctly. For instance, take time to look at the highest-paid people in your sector, visit their website, and see what makes their offerings attractive. It is not the item they are promoting; their compelling narrative is what persuades you to buy. By telling their story, they make you envision yourself in their shoes and empathize with their struggles.
What, then, can you do?
In today’s world, owning a structured website is essential. Since Google forbids the use of duplicate websites for advertising, you need to be original. Google’s advertising material emphasizes value and education, rather than just making money. To establish yourself as an authority figure in your industry, people need to view you as someone they can collaborate with, so they trust you.
To create a compelling narrative, you need to share your struggles with others. Start by focusing on why you want to become a marketer. For instance, you may have overheard someone complain about never having enough time for family time or not making enough money. People tend to relate more to shared pain than promises of wealth. Thus your goal is to make them see what you see, feel what you feel, and empathize with your past struggles. By sharing this, you can persuade them that they too can follow in your footsteps.
SO WHY DOES THEIR STORY GET RESULTS BUT NOT YOURS?
The primary factor that differentiates successful stories from unsuccessful ones lies in how you compose your tale. Keep in mind that your story will be unique from anyone else’s, but lots of people will relate to it. Here’s how you can develop a compelling narrative:
ARE THERE STEPS OR A GUIDELINE I CAN USE?
Yes, there are! Here’s a simple guideline to help:
1. Include at least ten images of you having fun on your page. People are enticed to seek what you have when they see that you lead a joyful lifestyle. They view you as someone who has succeeded in this field, even if you are still working full-time and only do marketing on the side.
2. Create a compelling headline that introduces you to the reader. State who you are and your origins.
3. Describe your challenges before starting your home company or marketing, and keep in mind that it’s crucial to use emotion when crafting your content. Put your past in the place they are at; don’t lie or overstate.
4. Describe to them how everything changed for you. Provide them with the answer to their problems. Tell your story; it doesn’t have to be complicated, and it shouldn’t be too challenging that it scares people away. You want them to have a “WOW!” mentality, thinking: “I can do it too if he or she can.”
5. Call them to action. Be specific with your instructions, and always provide a way for people to collaborate with you.
6. Establish your leadership role. Make sure that you convey your value and convince prospects that working with you is the best decision they could make.
By following these guidelines, you can position yourself or create a brand that everyone will enjoy working with. As a result, you’ll become an authority figure in your field and gain more clients. Remember, there’s no trick to marketing if you have a structured website and share your story genuinely.
