It’s no secret that Amazon began the sensible voice-enabled speaker motion with its Echo speaker. Being Google’s first voice speaker, the Home shares quite a lot of its DNA with the Echo (7/10, WIRED Review). It’s a similarly-sized pudgy little cylinder of a speaker, with audio that may neither insult nor impress your ears, and a good array of microphones to choose up your voice. Like the Echo, it is a “Well, this is OK” speaker that is good for something Google Home has to supply, however nice at little or no. For its worth, it presents higher sound than the Home Mini.
